The Infamous Masterson’s , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my latest trip at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its doors was appalling and beyond comprehension .

From the moment I crossed the threshold, it was evident that hygiene was not a priority at this venue. The surfaces were tacky , and a foul smell of decaying beverages and dirty bathrooms permeated the entire pub. Smelling a mixture of human waste, a rotting odor and illness . The bar area , which should be the main attraction of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and trash that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The toilet was in even a more revolting state —overflowing , with a broken handle and walls covered in what I can only assume was feces.

Based on the experiences shared online and chatting with the community, it seems that the quality of upkeep (or lack thereof) at this bar is additional resources a persistent problem .
